Dr. Al-Nisa S. Tucker-Muhammad is an accomplished educator, school leader, and higher education professional with more than 20 years of experience in education. She is the Founder and Director of Torchlight Educational Academy and currently serves as Director of Muhammad University of Islam–New Jersey (MUI-NJ), where she is committed to developing scholars academically, morally, spiritually, and socially.
Dr. Tucker-Muhammad is a certified New Jersey educator and has spent more than 17 years serving in school leadership. Her educational experience spans elementary and middle school instruction, curriculum development, educational administration, student development, and higher education. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Kean University, teaching courses within the School of Business.
She earned her Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Capella University, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Rutgers University, and a Bachelor's degree from Northeastern University, where she attended on a full athletic scholarship.
Dr. Tucker-Muhammad believes education should develop the whole child—cultivating academic excellence, strong character, discipline, leadership, and a lifelong commitment to service.
